We aim to understand our clients’ requirements, needs and expectations thoroughly and then fulfil their ambitions with imaginative design. We also aim to complete projects on time and on budget using trouble-free methods of construction. Building projects are challenges that need to be taken seriously; they are also a great deal of fun and on behalf of our clients they are our job, our hobby and our preoccupation.
The consideration of social and environmental issues rightly forms part of our responsibilities to our clients and lies at the heart of our practice.
Our approach to sustainability looks at all aspects of design, procurement and construction processes, aiming to minimise the future impact on the economy, the environment and society. Recent legislative changes provide the obligation, as well as the incentive, to think “green” right from the initial design phase of a project.
We will always aim to provide architectural solutions that function well, delight and inspire as well as performing in a robust and sustainable way.
We believe that sustainable construction can only be achieved through a fully inclusive and collaborative approach adopted by the entire project team. We aim to encourage all our partners to improve their environmental and social approach in order to exploit the maximum potential for any project.
From Idea to Delivery
As a Royal Institute of British Architects Chartered Practice, our clients can be sure we are regulated and fulfil the requirements of Quality Management, Health and Safety and Employment and Environmental standards. We understand the importance of our clients’ investments and strive to provide a consistently excellent service.
We are conscious of the need to sustain, and improve upon, the high quality of architectural services provided and to give documented assurance to clients that demonstrates this quality of service throughout a project.
To meet these objectives, the practice applies a quality management system which has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the RIBA Chartered Practice scheme.
As Architects, we embrace a wide variety of interests and practise within a shifting cultural, social, economic and environmental context. Since the practice formed our work has covered the widest range of scales from the urban design and master planning of new towns to the micro-detailing of individual buildings.
We approach each project with a rigorous enthusiasm for imaginative and creative solutions grounded by a sense of reality. Our flexible approach takes account of the qualities of a place, together with the unique demands of brief and client requirements.
From the outset, Origin3 Studio has integrated a strategy of information, communication and technology into the core of our business and working methods and have invested heavily in BIM using Revit as our primary design platform. AutoCAD, 3D Studio and Navisworks all add to our toolkit which can be called on when required to support project requirements.
We present our work in a wide range of media that includes in house modelling using the latest laser technology to allow prototyping to be modelled directly from our cad software.
We use bespoke management software to track time and expenses on projects effectively as well as to help us perform many of the functions required by our quality management system.
